Good News From Here On Out

Cute deliver guy just keeps coming around flirting as usual with no phone call. I avoided him a few days, just to not be so available I guess. Maybe he is just not that into me. . . MUST.MOVE.ON.

Why did "The Kid" look really cute in training today? Maybe because the new girl was sitting next to him. I have this thing where I don't really want a guy until I see that someone else is interested in him. Weird.

Open Letter: Dear Guy At The Gym

Please sir, don't ever wear that shiny purple spandex outfit again. It is disturbing on so many levels.

A. You are not Bobby Brown circa 1992 dancing in the Every Little Step video. B. You are not a member of GUY circa the same time period.

Plus royal purple is not a good look on ANYBODY. Have you ever heard of Barney?

It is very difficult to remain polite and not stare in utter amazement that a grown man would be that daring.

Next time I would suggest breaking up the monochromatic purple with a little yellow or black. Never mind, that purple doesn't go with anything.

Or maybe I'm just a hater. lol

P.S. I saw the matching purple shoes and sash, I mean towel, you had draped from your waist. #WORK!

Another Day, Another Compliment

The right compliment from the right guy can turn a blue day around.

I decided to become a bit more strategic with the flirtation. I put the exact flower, that this guy said was fake, on the left side of my hair to see what he would say.

Well, today, he looked at me and said, "Your hair, the flower, everything. . .you look so beautiful." I almost died. lol

Then he said he was in a hurry and could not stay.

What?

So what should my next step be?

Ironically, The Kid shoots me an email asking when can we hang out. I told him I would let him know. Was that rude?

Help me out here.

Nothing Like A Compliment. . .

. . .to give you that extra motivation to workout when you don't quite feel like it.

The other day at the gas station an older lady told me, "Can I borrow your legs? I just need them for Sunday."

I thought that was hilarious. Today a girl at work commented that since she started work five weeks ago I have gotten skinnier.

Later today, a guy I work with asked me why did I wear my hair straight for only a short period of time. I asked him why and he was like, "I liked it like that." So I told him, "It was fake." He was shocked. lol

My hair today was extra 'fro and all but who asked him to kill the mood. I know he meant it as a compliment but I like my natural hair. I hated the weave.

Anyway a compliment is a compliment. I'll take what I can get!

A Flower For My Hair Or. . .

NOT!!!!

So, my cute Puerto Rican comes to work finally and . . .NOTHING. lol

He shows up smiling and telling me about his trip. I am looking around and . . .NOTHING.

Not that I expected some delivery guy to carry a flower around all day in a hot truck BUT it would have been really nice if he had. #dreamer

Anyway, I gave my number to the young guy. Why? IDK, I guess he could be a cool friend or someone to hang out with.

So I guess I am still awaiting my flower. I wished for a flower once. I was walking to work, back in undergrad, and a homeless guy handed me a carnation. It was half-wilted. The guy looks at me a says, "Well, it still got life in it!" I started to laugh.

I need to get out more. lol

A Little Lash and A Lot of Confidence

A few days ago I spoke of bionic dresses. I have experienced the power of the bionic body part. A smart little overlooked member that when endowed with bionic powers can master feats never mastered before.

I speak of the fake eyelash.

Don't laugh my friends. It really works.

  

I went down to the beauty school and had someone create me really old hollywood styled eyelashes. The effect on my eyes was brilliant. I received so many compliments. This past week I have been flirted with more overtly by the cutest of guys. When I say cute, I mean CAYUTE! lol

I am not sure if the lash itself possessed superhuman powers or if it gave me the added boost of confidence I lacked. I removed them last night, so I guess the day will tell. Whatever the source of my new found bionics, I must wield this power with care. lol

As Graduation Approaches. . .

I am starting to see myself in the light of my future and I am eagerly anticipating what it holds for me. It seems these past few years in Texas has been fraught with many tests and trials. Through it all, I believe I am on purpose, in the will of God.

As I evolve, I am maturing in insight. I no longer see men as trees but as merely men. I have learned that I can cast my own life. Friends of the past are not necessarily going to be friends of the future. I deserve reciprocity of love, respect, and support. If we are not on the same page, the story will continue.

This is hard lesson for me. I have a habit of holding on to things and people for the sake of having something or someone to hold. I am so over it.

God is showing me how to open myself up to new relationships, friends, experiences that I would have been to timid to embark upon.

At this stage of my life, I am truly ready.
